The clock is ticking on the holiday shopping season, and smartphone-savvy shoppers are likely to have a plethora of deals at their fingertips this year. That’s according to a new study from RetailMeNot Inc.
As the infographic excerpt here shows, collectively:
- More than 80 percent of retailers believe promotions via their own websites and apps as well as promotional sites and apps present the biggest opportunities to drive sales this year.
- Nearly 100 percent feel that mobile gives consumers most of their information on deals and that consumers are savvy finding deals via apps. (Click here to see the full graphic.)
Since retail and deal sites and apps can all be accessed via smartphone, we may have a lot more tapping and swiping this holiday season than cutting/clipping and saving when it comes to finding good deals.
Either way, one thing’s for sure: Retail marketers are in tune with the digital lifestyles of their customers.
