If Smartphone Apps Were Cookies…

Since we’re all celebrating 45 great years with Sesame Street this week — including  the show’s many beloved characters — today’s post is focused on a question Cookie Monster would probably find fascinating:

“If smartphone apps were cookies, how would you describe your habits with choosing/downloading them?”

I posed this question via an informal survey of 100 smartphone users last month, and the results are shown in the new infographic below.

As you can see, nearly half of the survey participants (46 percent) only use free apps, and nearly a third (29 percent) carefully evaluate them before downloading.

Some said they only download the best apps (12 percent).

And, as for the cookie monsters out there? They’re in the minority. Only seven percent said they can’t help themselves when it comes to apps.
